Here's a repost from last year's Rudy Giuliani day:
Yes folks, because of the holiday today, blogging will be light. Though I would like to add a few things to that post from last year.
I hope everyone has a healthy, happy and safe Rudy Giuliani Day today. Because of the national holiday, posting will be light.
I'll be kickin' back at home with the wife and kids, downin' a few brewskis, and watching the Rudy Giuliani Day Parade on Fox.
I remember September 11, 2001, the first Rudy Giuliani Day, like it was yesterday. My dad woke me up with a phone call at 6:30 am and told me that Rudy Giuliani was on television, making a magnificent speech in front of some burning building.
I hurried to the television, turned it on, and from that moment forth, stayed glued to the screen for the next 3 days, watching, in awe, the man, the myth, the legend, Rudolph William Louis "Rudy" Giuliani, the most significant, most awesomest man in the world, as he led our country bravely, heroically, Mussolini-ishly.
Since that day, my life, and I'm sure yours dear readers, have never been the same. Let's all enjoy a happy, safe and secure Rudy Giuliani Day today, for ourselves, our children, and the unborn.
God bless you all, and God bless Rudy Giuliani!
First of all, if you go to Rudy Giuliani's presidential campaign website, which is still up, you will see that there is no mention of Rudy Giuliani day (or as some people call it, "9/11"). There is only a picture of a smiling Rudy Giuliani, and a link which allows you to donate to his forever ongoing campaign for the presidency.
You see, that's the kind of sterling man Rudy Giuliani is. He would never, ever, politicize this day in any kind of way. He realizes that politics and 9/11 shouldn't mesh, which is why his website is all about him today, and has nothing about September 11th. Had Giuliani won the Republican nomination for president, I'm sure his website would be all about him today as well, and not about the terror of that day 7 years ago.
But really, when you think about it, what's the difference?

this was the funniest part:
"...and told me that Rudy Giuliani was on television, making a magnificent speech in front of some burning building."
